Text Message Terms

What we text, how often, and how to stop.

The program

St. Barnabas Texts is a text message program run by St. Barnabas Anglican Church (Reformed Episcopal), 237 W. Austin St., Bellville, Texas. You join it by texting our church number yourself or by asking us to add you. By joining, you agree to receive texts from St. Barnabas Texts about:

  • a welcome and follow-up after you visit us,
  • service times, directions, and changes to the schedule,
  • reminders of services and parish events,
  • new sermon clips, videos, and teaching we have posted,
  • an occasional note from the Rector, and
  • a link to give online, but only when you ask for it (see Giving below).

How often

Message frequency varies. Most people receive no more than a few texts a week.

Cost

Message and data rates may apply. St. Barnabas does not charge for texts we send or you send us; your wireless carrier may charge under your plan.

How to stop

Reply STOP to any text from us at any time. You will receive one message confirming that you are unsubscribed, and no more after that unless you join again.

How to get help

Reply HELP to any text from us, write to welcome@stbarnabasrec.org, or call the Rector at (512) 636-0708.

Giving

If you text GIVE, we reply with a link to give online through PayPal. Your gift is made on PayPal's site. We never ask for card or bank details by text, and no gift is ever charged to your phone bill.

Carriers

Wireless carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

Privacy

Your information is handled as our Privacy page describes. We do not sell, rent, or share your mobile number, your opt-in, or your consent with any third party for marketing or promotional purposes.

Who may join

You must be 18 or older and the account holder or an authorized user of the phone you are texting from.

Changes

We may change or end St. Barnabas Texts or these terms. If we do, we will post the change here, and continuing to receive our texts after that means you accept it.

Effective November 6, 2026.
